The RINGSPANN company of Bad Homburg has earned a reputation as a supplier of high-quality, technologically advanced power transmission and workholding products. Its power transmission programme includes the following product lines: freewheels, brakes, shaft-hub-connections, tor-que and force limiters and couplings.

In April 2010 RINGSPANN took part in the “Wire & Tube” exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany for the first time. The presentation was a great success! Numerous international visitors came to the RINGSPANN stand, where the complete product range was presented.

The brake programme was a focal point of RINGSPANN’s presentation. In many machines on the exhibition were brakes installed. Examples were regulating brakes used to maintain a defined traction force in stranding machines, winders or coilers.

On the occasion of the exhibition RINGSPANN presented new brake callipers for high braking forces. The range of hydraulic brake callipers was extended to include units with up to 203,000 N clamping force. The new brakes are ideally suited for numerous applications in the machine building industry.
